been awhile... the kodak job l have been working on has been all consuming (finished it last week.. yehhh!), l think even my friends have forgotten what l look like, so here is a refresher... oh yeh, l know her!

hi my name is josephine and l have an addiction

it's been 2 weeks since my last purchase. l'm addicted to etsy. there l've said it. l've had difficult couple of weeks l've had l decided to spoil myself with some retail therapy, but with very limited funds the options were thin. enter etsy, hand crafted art, jewellery and the like and at wonderful prices. look at my finds! they are resin fronts, mother of pearl backs and japanese paper in-beween, l was so excited when they arrived in the mail, l now have mine hanging around my neck on a silver chain. spicychocolate is my latest favourite seller on etsy... have a look for yourself, l bet you will succumb too!

rest in peace

l was "let go" from my day job last week.

"this is going to sting," he said.

"l feel bad because you're a mate," he said.

"it has nothing to do with the standard of your work," he said.

"it has nothing to do with your capabilities as a designer, it's all about cost cutting, and l'm afraid we are going to have to let you go."

"when would you like me to leave, would you like me to see out the week?" l said, trying not to lose control of my emotions, giving the bearer of such grim news any kind of satisfaction.

"pack up your office and leave now," he said.

so l did.

poor little baby jesus

the first (hopefully of many) illustration for the christmas season... l think l will use this for the chrissy cards this year... l am still planning on doing the collage... whichever is best will make the cut... although poor baby jesus looks alittle like an alien.

well for the most part l have been procrastinating but l recently did an invitation my friend Katherine's upcoming engagement party, l was able to utilise both my design and artistc skills... next on the agenda a christmas collage to use as cards... watch this space.

l'm officially getting old

ok. l said it. l am officially getting old and l'm not coping. so to make myself feel better l have decided to buy myself alittle present, well ok its a big present but beautiful none-the-less. l need to keep reminding myself that l am worth the trouble... l think there is something in that for all of us.
